Associate Manager I Programming

Responsibilities
Strategically schedule two television networks, one network directed towards the Mexican market and one network directed to viewers in Venezuela (with emphasis given to the Mexico feed). This individual will work closely with our Mexico City office, the Bristol-based Programming team, various leagues & rights holders and with affiliates in the region. Compiles ESPN Dos and ESPN Dos Venezuela monthly program schedules based on ratings, Ad Sales commitments, contractual requirements and affiliate value. Acts as liaison with various US and International leagues and organizers to gather and disseminate schedule information for sports such as MLB, and local Latin American leagues such as Mexican and Venezuelan Baseball, for all international networks. Maintains the program schedules on a day-to-day and long-term basis by implementing and disseminating schedule changes. Creates and implements guidelines for live events within the schedule. Analyzes market research to improve ratings. Interprets brand and marketing strategies into long-range programming philosophy. Works closely with International Production, Ad Sales, Research, Marketing, Promotions and our partners and affiliates in the region. Communicates often with Formatting, Network Control, Content Integration, and Content Screening to coordinate implementation of network schedule.

Basic Qualifications
Strong US and International sports knowledge required, with a focus on Mexican soccer preferred. Strong written and interpersonal communication skills required. 2-3 years related television/media experience required. Ability to analyze market research to competitively schedule both ESPN Dos networks. Must be fluent in Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications
Fundamental understanding of the look and feel of ESPN’s international networks. Computer experience with proficiency in Windows-based PC applications such as Excel, Word and Powerpoint. NCS experience a plus.

Required Education
College degree is required.
